It is always best practice to test any significant changes to your website on a staging version, instead of the live version any visitors see. This allows you to catch and manage any problems before they are actually applied to your website, keeping your visitors from running into any development issues.
-
You can create a Staging version of a website from the Softaculous app, as well as tracking file and database changes which can either be reversed or pushed to the live site.

-
You can only stage websites which are already being managed by Softaculous

Always make sure you have a backup of your site for an extra layer of protection from irreversible mistakes.
