For example, the website srv01.barrukohost.com is hosted on the server “srv01”.

 

What can I use the hostname for?

  • The server hostname is useful for gaining direct access to your services, especially when there is an issue with your domain name.

How to find IP address?

  • In cPanel, under “shared IP address” under “General information” on the right.

  • Alternatively, you can find the IP from windows command line with the command “ping barruko.co.uk”. The IP address will show next to “Ping statistics”.
